Taal volcano Urgent evacuation
On January 12th, Taal Volcano erupted in the Philippines. This volcano is very near to where our partner women and children's shelter is located and they were directly affected. Because of this, ash and rocks spewed from the volcano and greatly affected the air quality. Also, since the eruption there have been over 600 earthquakes (all 4.1 or less magnitude). Due to the dangerous conditions, we all quickly evacuated 26 women and children out of the area. Some friends of ours generously took everyone in and we are all safe and sound. However, there are still many unexpected costs and food items that are very much needed during this difficult time.
Taal Volcano Evacuation Needs:
1. Food (Canned goods & eggs)
2. Women and children shorts (All sizes)
3. Face Masks
4. Transportation costs
5. Medical check ups for one child and two women
(List updated on 1/24/2020)
AS OF JANUARY 24TH, ALL NEEDS HAVE BEEN COVERED!
THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN A PART OF THIS!
